KALYANA KSHARAM; Kalyana Ksharam is an Ayurvedic medicine, used in treating constipation, bloating, hemorrhoids, etc. This medicine is more used in South Indian Ayurveda ; This medicine should only be taken under strict medical ; ROLE OF INGREDIENTS; Trikatu - an ayurvedic remedy that is extensively used for treating umpteen health problems including indigestion, gastritis, constipation, obesity, asthma, cough and cold, arthritis, infections, ulcers, etc. Bida, Saindhava, and Samudra type of salts -aiding the balance of electrolytes and fluids, carrying nutrients into cells, regulation of acid-base balance, support transfer of nerve impulses, regulating blood pressure, and secretion of gastric acid. Thirphala - contains powerful anti-inflammatory compounds that may help protect against certain cancers and other chronic diseases. Studies have shown that it may help treat constipation, resolve dental issues and promote weight loss. Danti – Baliospermum montanum - is used in constipation, abdominal pain, general anasarca, piles, calculus, helminthic infections, scabies, dermic affections, suppurative ulcers, and diseases caused by the morbidity of Kapha and pitta. Root paste is applied to painful piles and swellings. Arushkara – Purified and processed Semecarpus Anacardium Chitraka – Plumbago zeylanica - medicinal agent used in the treatment of stubborn chronic rheumatoid arthritis, skin diseases, and tumorous growths as recommended by Ayurveda. It also finds its use in correcting chronic menstrual disorders, viral warts, and chronic diseases of the nervous system. Eranda taila – Castor oil –  used in traditional medicine such as abdominal disorders, arthritis, backache, muscle aches, bilharziasis, chronic backache and sciatica, chronic headache, constipation, the expulsion of the placenta, gallbladder pain, period pain, menstrual cramps, rheumatism, sleeplessness, and insomnia. INDICATIONS; It is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of hemorrhoids, constipation, bloating. It is used in sprue, intestinal worm infestation. It is used in urinary disorders such as UTI, dysuria, urinary calculi. It is used in respiratory diseases such as cough, cold, bronchitis, and asthma. It improves digestion, cures spleen disorders, and is excellent in stomach aches. DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS; Take 125 mg – 500 mg used in various combinations, for oral intake and also for external application, or as directed by the physician. KALYANA KSHARAM  SIDE EFFECTS; Since it is a Kshara, it is best avoided in men seeking treatment for infertility, as it may affect the quality and quantity of sperm production. In higher doses, it may cause a burning sensation and diarrhea. It is not ideal to use this medicine in people with excessive tiredness, emaciation, and who are underweight.
