THAZHAMU MATHIRAI; Thazhampu Mathirai is a Classical medicine in Siddha System of medicine. It is used to treat Gastrointestinal tract disorders. ROLE OF INGREDIENTS; Lingam(Purified) - is one of the pancha soodham in Siddha system; chemically it is called cinnabar and mercuric sulphide (HgS). The Lingam is used for the treatment of Diarrhoea, Fever, Delirium, Chronic ulcers, Polyurea, Urticaria, Tuberculosis, Dermatitis, Scabies, Tumours, Leprosy, Pain and Vaatha diseases Elemental mercury (Purified) - compounds have been used to treat skin infection, and in developing countries, they have been applied to the treatment of skin sores from syphilis. Mercury compounds have been used as laxatives and also added to teething powders as calomel (mercurous chloride) Elemental suphur (Purified) -  is applied to the skin for acne, hayfever, skin redness (rosacea), dandruff, scaly and red skin patches (seborrheic dermatitis), an itchy skin infection caused by mites (scabies), lice, cold sores, warts, and poison oak, ivy, and sumac infections. Mercury Chloride (Purified) - is corrosive to mucous membranes and used as a topical antiseptic and disinfectant. Croton tiglium -oil from the seeds is used to make medicine. They also take croton seeds to treat gallbladder problems, colic, blocked intestines, and malaria. Croton seeds are sometimes applied directly to the skin for muscle and joint pain (rheumatism), gout, nerve pain (neuralgia), and bronchitis. Pandanus tectorius - male flowers are used for earaches, headaches and stomach spasms.
